Connecticut American Viticultural Areas for Wine Tasting

Currently Connecticut has 2 official American Viticultural Area. These wine regions are a great place to start when you're looking to visit Connecticut wineries for wine tasting and winery tours.

Southeastern New England
Designated AVA on 7/01/1984 and located near New Haven, New London, and Middlesex counties.

Western Connecticut Highlands
Designated AVA on 7/01/1988 and located in Litchfield and parts of Fairfield, New Haven, and Hartford counties.
