Minnesota American Viticultural Areas for Wine Tasting

Currently Minnesota has two official American Viticultural Area. These wine regions are a great place to start when you're looking to visit Minnesota wineries for wine tasting and winery tours.

Alexandria Lakes
Designated AVA in 2005 and located in Douglas County in Central Western Minnesota

Upper Mississippi River Valley
Designated AVA on 6/22/2009 and located in southeastern Minnesota, and parts of Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
