New Mexico American Viticultural Areas for Wine Tasting

Currently New Mexico has three official American Viticultural Area. These wine regions are a great place to start when you're looking to visit New Mexico wineries for wine tasting and winery tours.

Mesilla Valley AVA
Designated AVA in 1985 and located in Southwestern New Mexico and a small portion of adjoining Texas

Middle Rio Grande Valley AVA
Designated AVA in 1988 and located along the Rio Grande in Central New Mexico

Mimbres Valley AVA
Designated AVA in 1985 and located in Southwestern New Mexico near the towns of Deming and Silver City along the Mimbres River
