There are several wine trails in Virginia for you to travel along
and find great Virginia wineries.
These trails are distinctly marked by XXX signs to make your journey
easy and enjoyable. These wine trails will give you clear directions
to winery locations, making it possible for you to stop at several
wineries in a short time. They are well organized routes designated
by the Virginia Tourism and Transportation departments in collaboration
with local VA wineries which offer tours to the general public.
Some Virginia wine trails exist soley as a collaborative effort amongst
local wineries. Whichever trail you follow, you're sure to find
an excellent variety of Virginia wines to taste. Even if you choose
not to stop at any of the area wineries, these trails are great
ways to see the majestic landscape of Virginia wine country. Let the
wine trails guide you down highways and country roads and into quiet
and lush vineyards and countryside. As you pass by cities like Yorktown,
Richmond, Lynchburg and Arlington, there may even be some great Virginia
wine bars designated along the way for you to stop into and
enjoy a quick lunch or dinner with a smooth glass of red or white
wine. And for those of you considering a Virginia winery wedding,
wine trails are an excellent starting point. Drive the trails until
you find the winery that seems like the perfect spot, with just
the right views. Then stop into the winery and ask some questions
and begin making your plans! So what are you waiting for? Hit the

are the wine trails we've found in Virginia.
Bedford County Wine Trail
Located in the Central Virginia region and visits
5 vineyards and wineries surrounding Bedford.
The Blue Ridge Wine Trail
Features 5 wineries and vineyards in the Blue
Ridge Mountains all within minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The Blue Ridge Wine Way
Visits 8 wineries and vineyards in the Blue Ridge
Mountains of the Northern Virginia region.
Botetourt County Wine Trail
A small trail featuring 3 wineries in the Blue
Ridge Mountains.
The Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail
Locatedl in the Chesapeake Bay region highlighting
6 different wineries.
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Wine Trail
Stops at three wineries along the Land Between
Two Waters. This area is a unique rural coastal environment with
hundreds of scenic miles of Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay shoreline
to adore along the way.
Fauquier County Wine Trail
This exciting trail is home to sixteen wineries
& vineyards.
Foothills Scenic Wine Trail
Located between Old Rag Mountain and White Oak
Canyon at the edge of Shenandoah National Park, the trail features
2 small, family-run wineries in gorgeous mountain settings. The
trail is less than two hours from Washington and Richmond and less
than an hour from Charlottesville.
The Heart of Virginia Wine Trail
Stops at 4 wineries located in the central region
of the state.
Loudoun Wine Trail
Located in Northern Virginia and takes travelers
through Virginia's hunt country to 23 participating wineries.
The Monticello Wine Trail
Experience tours to 24 wineries from its hub in
Charlottesville.
The Shenandoah Valley County Wine Trail
Be lead to four wonderful wineries that exemplify
why the Valley is famous for growing grapes and is set against the
backdrop of the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains.
The Shenandoah Valley Wine Trail
Visitirs can tour this association of 6 vineyards
and wineries.
Southern Virginia Wine Trail
Refered to as "SoVA" this trail was
established in Spring 2009 by a group of 9 wineries located in and
up-and-coming grape-growingSouthern Virginia.
The General's Wine and History Trail
In 2009 ten wineries banded together to form a
new type wine trail experience tieing Virginia's rich wine heritage
with its historical heritage.
