Travel Washington Wine Trails
As the second largest producer of wine in the US, Washington boasts
more than 600 wineries and 11 American Viticultural Areas (Regions)
within its borders. Those wine enthusiasts looking to travel Washington
"Wine Trails" should look to the wine regions of the state
to travel around and visit WA wineries. In any of these eleven regions,
you can't take a step without practically tripping over a dozen
great wineries and vineyards. We at Wine Bar Wineries, recommend
that visitors grab a map and blaze their own Washington wine trail,
but please drink responsibly. Here is a list of Washington's wine
regions and their general locations.
Columbia Gorge
Region
Located in the Columbia River Gorge, along the border between
Oregon and Washington near the towns of White Salmon, Underwood,
and Bingon, east of Vancouver.

Columbia Valley
Region
Located in central and southern Washington state and parts
of Oregon., this is the largest region in the state and extends
through most of Central and southern Washington.

Horse Heaven Hills
Region
Located in Southeastern Washington between the towns of
Prosser and Paterson.

Located in the north-central Washington around Lake Chelan

Walla Walla Valley
Region
Located in Southeastern Washington near the city of Walla
Walla and into parts of neighboring Oregon.
