Wine festivals
can be a wine-lovers dream! At no other venue can visitors enjoy wines
made by a wide variety of wineries and vineyards, offered by the wine-makers
themselves, and often, but not always, all out in the fresh open air.
Wine festivals are an excellent place to try new wines as wine-makers
often present their latest vintages and newest releases. Having the wine-maker
right there, filling your glass is an opportunity matched only by touring
the winery itself, so it's an excellent opportunity to get to know the
wineries and vineyards in your state. Even in areas where wineries are
scarce, there are often annual wine or food festivals. And again, this
means that wine makers travel from all over for the opportunity to introduce
their wines to you! Wine festivals are most often accompanied by great
food. The same is true of food or culinary festivals, which usually offer
wine tasting as well. Many wine festivals function as fund raisers for
great non-profit organizations or causes, as if you needed another great
reason to go. Some may feature fine art, incredible live music performances
and even celebrity chefs! There are black tie wine events and auctions
where guests can purchase tickets in advance, don their finest wears and
bid on their favorite bottle of wine. There are harvest festivals where
specific wineries or wine regions celebrate the years grape harvest with
fun festivities for the public to enjoy. We've even found a few Wine &
Balloon festivals. If you have a passion for great wine then these wonderful
festivals are sure to arouse other passions in you as well. Whenever possible,
Wine Bar Wineries has selected Wine Festivals as our first festival choice,
followed by food festivals, art festivals, and when even those were absent,
we've selected music festivals where wines may be served. Just click on
any of the US states on the map above to see what wine & food festivals
we've found in your area.
